很偶然的机会拿到了这么一个offer，上周刚定下来的：
Dear ......:
I am pleased to inform you that your application for admission to the Ph.D.
program in Accounting at the University of Iowa for Fall 2005 has been
approved by our Doctoral Admissions Committee. The Committee has submitted its
letter of recommendation for admission to the Office of Admissions, and you
should receive a formal admissions letter from them soon. Based on your
application
materials, the faculty believes that you have the potential to
develop into an outstanding teacher and researcher.
On an annual basis, the support consists of $23,000 plus tuition. This is
renewable annually subject to satisfactory progress in the program. (The
amounts in the future years are likely to increase in line with the increases
negotiated by the Graduate Students Association.) We also provide $250 per year
in the first three years for books, articles, etc. ...... We also will provide
a grant of $1,000 toward the purchase of computing equipment after you pass the
written comprehensive examination in accounting.
